“Taj Samudra”- host hotel for e-Asia 2009
The Taj Samudra, Colombo will host all the foreign and local delegates for e-Asia 2009, Asia’s premier ICT event to be held in early December. The Taj Samudra hotel will provide accommodation for 150 delegates and also host the official dinner for 1000 e-Asia participants on 2nd December 2009.

Speaking about recent renovations, Srinivas Lahari the Executive Assistant Manager said that the hotel now had 291 rooms including 19 suites that have recently been re-crafted. The Hotel also showcases an ultramodern coffee-shop and stylish banqueting halls well equipped with state of the art facilities. He added that the entire hotel was waifai-enabled.

e-Asia 2009 culminating in the three-day conference cum exhibition from December 2 to 4 at BMICH Colombo, in which the Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) together with CSDMS in India will be the hosting partner, will provide the Asian ICT industry the opportunity for showcasing its potential. The premier ICT event is an open ICT for development (ICT4D) platform for Asian countries to disseminate and discuss the best practices, opportunities, challenges and for promoting growth in Asia.
About 24 countries particularly from Asia but including USA and Europe will be represented at top level. About 100 institutions, more than 300 international delegates and 500 local visitors are expected to participate in the conference while about 30,000 are scheduled to visit the exhibition.
