MESSAGE





“The ICT-based activities taking place in Sri Lanka have led to the creation of an empowered rural society and vibrant local ICT industry. This has strengthened Sri Lanka’s position as a pioneer in adopting ICT for development. Thus, it is indeed timely for Sri Lanka to host ‘e-Asia 2009’, which will be held in Colombo from 2nd to 4th December 2009 under the theme, “Opportunities for Digital Asia”. The event will provide participants the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of technologies advances in ICT and in particular how these advances will ultimately impact development and our future in the region.
